Bacon chocolate chip!!

Because who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

Correct answer: Nobody.  Nobody needs that heart; HENCE: permission to eat these cookies to you-know-what’s content.  Presenting bacon chocolate chip cookies: A recipe!  (Thank you Pete bakes)

1. Two words, you guys: CANDIED BACON.  Sprinkle brown sugar on a baking sheet maximally lain with bacon.

2. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.  Then flip slices and bake for another 12 minutes.  GET EXCITED.

3. Lord have mercy!  This recipe allows for one strip to be consumed without harm to the cookies. Go on!  Let it fill you with joy.  With great difficulty, put these beauties away to cool, and up the oven temp to 375.

4. Assemble the cookie dough, mostly Tollhouse style: Mix together 3/4 cup white sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 2 sticks of yr trustiest butter.  Add to this mixture 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

5. Check your bacon.  Is it cool?  Food process into pieces, each the size of a generous bacon bit.

6. Switch from whisk to spatula and add the dry ingredients: 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons flaky kosher salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda.

7. Fold in chocolate chips (semi-sweet) and bacon (awesome).

8. Form ping pong balls of dough.  Bake for 11 minutes, give or take whatever, depending on how you like your pork cookies.  If you are me, like this:

9. Eat warm if possible, with a big cup of black coffee.
